Shakira and Chris Martin bonded while she was going through her acrimonious split from her husband Gerard Piqué. 'He was there for me when I got separated and was heartbroken,' the Colombian singer told Rolling Stone for the Fix You singer's cover story. 'He was checking in every day to see how I was doing, sending me words of support and strength and wisdom.' The two singers, both 47, have been friends for a long time, and the Hips Don't Lie songstress had very complimentary words for her pal.
