Olivia Hallinan became a staple on British TV after playing Ellie in the ITV adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson's book Girls in Love from 2003 until 2005. She was later cast as 15-year-old lesbian Kim in Channel 4 show Sugar Rush, which followed her infatuation with heterosexual friend Sugar (Lenora Crichlow).
