Sienna Milleris sharing how she landed her latest movie role.
In a May 14 interview onThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actress, 44, said she secured a part inTom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost Warafter complaining to her costarJohn Krasinskiwhile on a trip celebrating her BFF, and Krasinki's wife,Emily Blunt's 40th birthday.
“Emily Blunt — I'm going to name drop her — is one of my best friends,” said Miller. “And [her husband] John Krasinski for her 40th birthday took 10 of us to an island, it was really quite beautiful. And we had several cocktails and I was having a moan about being in independent films that seven people see."
“And I was like, ‘I just need to do an action film.’ And John and Emily looked at each other and were like, ‘Yes,Jack Ryan,’ ” the actress continued. “I literally threw myself at [Krasinski] to get this part. And then he wrote it for me and it was very sweet.”
Jack Ryan: Ghost Warfollows on from Krasinski's television series of the same name. The film follows the title character, played by Krasinski, after departing the CIA and returning to civilian life, with Miller joining as new character, MI6 officer Agent Marlow.
Miller also revealed onThe Tonight Showthat her character is named after her13-year-old daughter Marlowe, whom she she sgres with her ex Tom Sturridge.
“I mean, that’s the best!” hostJimmy Fallonresponded. “Yeah, I know!” said Miller.

Elsewhere on the show, Miller opened up about being a new mom of three afterwelcoming her third babyand second child with her boyfriendOli Greenin April of this year. In January 2024, news broke that the couple hadwelcomed their first baby, a daughter.
“It’s crazy to be talking words and wearing a dress. What has happened from pajama gate,” said Miller.
“Do you even know where you are right now?” hostJimmy Fallonasked. “Not a clue,” Miller jokingly responded.
When asked which of her children is harder to juggle, Miller replied, “I would have said the teenage girl would be harder to juggle, until the transatlantic flight I took yesterday with the toddler and the newborn. The toddler now wins hands down — it was an absolute disaster.”
“There's no negotiating … and then the looks people give you on the flight … I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ The baby’s screaming, she's screaming,” the actress continued, adding jokingly, “...I got to the line the immigration line and just broke down.”
